Stitch in 9 Embroidery Trail

Saturday 20th July- Monday 2nd September, All Day.
 During the summer holidays you can explore Woodhorn's historic and contemporary buildings to discover wonderful textile work made by North East group Stitch in 9. The members of Stitch in 9 have been inspired by the people, places and history of Woodhorn to create this exciting new collection of work.

The broomstick lace blanket is finished, have to wait for the baby to arrive now.

It's ages since I have done any broomstick lace. It's been fun making this blanket with the big needle which represents the broomstick and crochet hook. Just need to add a fringe.

Back to the grindstone now, after spending a superb time sailing around the Ionian Islands of Greece.

Had a lovely day out on Friday at the Woolfest near Cockermouth. There was lots of fleeces, wool and fibres. Lots of things to feel and touch. I bought a bag of wensleydale locks, just lovely to look at, feel and touch, then put back in the bag until I decide what to do with them.

Poppies always are a good source of inspiration for my textile work.
